duties and Responsibilties:A skilled dental assistant can make all the difference in a patient’s dental experience. The Westwood College dental assisting degree will give you the skills and training you will need to support dentists and help provide quality dental care to patients. The Dental Assisting Associate of Applied Science program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to work as a chair-side dental assistant in general and specialty practices. Each student receives hands-on experience in at least two different dental office/clinics.

Education:Dental laboratory technicians may receive their education and training through a two-year program at a community college, vocational school, technical college, university or dental school. Graduates of these programs receive either an associate degree or a certificate. There also are a few programs that offer a four-year baccalaureate program in dental technology.
